My Thoughts

I'll start off by saying that it feels good to be back in the blogging world. Now to the situation at hand. First off when I first heard about this concert I was super hyped and immediately set my expectations super high. That being said I will say off the top that I am going to be a really critical judge. Here we go:

Lupe: Grade: B. I gave Lupe a B because I saw him earlier this year in a club setting and he was AMAZING. I know I shouldnt compare the two but thats what I was doing the whole time. So I gave Lupe a B because he was good but not outstanding. He bought the same energy that he always does but I'll just say that his part of the concert was forgettable. Maybe I'm saying that because he was first and everyone wasn't there yet and not many people were feeling him too much. Don't get me wrong I love Lupe's music but at the concert he was OK at best.

N.E.R.D.: Grade A. Some of you will say of course you gave N.E.R.D. an A, yall are from the same place, but no that is not the reason why I gave them an A. N.E.R.D got an A because they bought so much energy to the stage. Honestly this was my main reason for going to the concert because I had seen everyone but them and Rihanna. But they had a live band and of course they did the hits which a lot of people seemed to love. During the concert my boy Byron hit me up and said people must be retarded if they arent feeling this N.E.R.D and I think that pretty much sums it all up. If you are not feeling N.E.R.D. you are retarded because they make great music. What made it better is that they introduced some new songs from the upcoming album and Chris Brown came out during their performance. They basically did what I knew they would do and put on an amazing show.

Rihanna: Grade: A+. No homo but Rihanna stole the show. I've read reviews before that said that Rihanna was not good live and that she could not sing. After seeing her perform, either she got vocal training or those reviewers dont know good music because she can sing live and her performance was amazing. I was there with guys and girls and we were all actually vibin to her songs. We were talking during her performance and we were like we forgot Rihanna had so many hits. It was hit after hit after hit and everyone knew all the words. You would look around and see dudes singing Umbrella and Please Don't Stop the Music. I must say I was really surprised at her performance. O and I almost forgot.....she looked sooooooo good....naw for real she looked real good.....damn.

Kanye: Grade A: I know what you are all thinking how did you give Rihanna an A+ and give Kanye just an A, well let me tell you. This was my 3rd time seeing Kanye and honestly I dont think that this was the best I've seen him. Don't get me wrong his performance was stupid and I would go see it again but I don't really know if it was his best. The concept of the performance was great but Kanye's acting skill were terrible. There are parts of the concert where he is talking to a computer and lets just say Kanye will not be crossing over into the film world. But back to the music, he did all his hits and everyone was vibin and goin crazy to every song. I knew every word in about 85% of all the songs he did and it seemed like everybody else did too. The set was crazy too....the whole concept was just amazing.....it wasnt just a concert it was a real performance...like a play almost. He bought you into the story and made you stayed tuned the whole time. Also, he had a lot of energy he was feeling EVERY song and he knew the crowd was feelin it too. But one thing that I didn't like was that some of the songs were done slower or faster than the original version...I know thats how its done at concerts but I woulda liked some songs to be like they were on the album. But overall if you have never seen Kanye in concert you need to because I guarantee you that you will get your moneys worth.

Glow in the Dark Tour: Grade A: Hands down the best concert tour that I have ever seen. If there is an opportunity for you to go see it go, you'll regret it if you don't. For those of you who read this and actually went to the concert let me know what you think....agree or disagree with what I said?????
